The 3 C's - Career-Competition-Collaboration!

Speaking on Career - Competition - Collaboration  Moving across different stages of human development, from a child to an adolescent to an adult, one thing that remained common was my core belief in the power of group or you may call team! What can be a better example than family members who collaborate to driving best results. However on the contrary, today and even back then, I would notice adults making academics more of competition to reach the career than gaining knowledge for a sustainable career. Today, my heart breaks to see the younger ones running in the race, not being socially connected to their surroundings but social media! What is career? What's the fuss over making a human academically stronger? The rush, panic and awe is just so overwhelming when it comes to educating oneself.....no wonder the rate of mental depression has become hostile.  Hands down education is amongst the primary rights of a person, but don't you think in this hoard of making s

5 ways to motor your indulgence?

Life is full of surprises one minute you're drowning in anxiety and the next second you're soaring in achievements beyond imaginations. I too was in a situation where I nearly had a crazy rendezvous of experiencing death, not literally although in terms of how I am handling the difficulties and dealing with adulthood. How did I undertake these seemingly annoying times you ask? Well, a few realisations hit sit me like a surge of sand dunes when I inhaled the my last will....and the biggest one made took me beyond the materialistic, it was "You are still you!!" Preach much?  I understand....allow me to dissect it in ease. Imagine you're a car. Be it any car you want....a Maruti, an Alto, AUDI?! Or even a grand SUV. What is one thing all these cars need? Yup, that's right....It's FUEL! Without fuel or battery or charge none of the cars can be driven at all. You are exactly the same, a motor who needs fuel consistently to keep going. How do you do that? Le

Sustaining your Personal Brand!  Quite frequently you will notice, people in leadership positions especially public figures, losing their  personal brand sustenance!  Atul Kochhar , an Indian National celebrity chef based in London, UK is no longer an exception! The recent incident of naming and shaming celebrity actress Priyanka Chopra on her apologetic tweet highlighting religious sentiment in one of the episodes of Quantico turned the story upside down for him!  Courtesy: India Today  Today, I would like to share 6 key lessons that every aspiring or current public figure must keep in mind to avoid unforeseen situations hampering personal brand positioning.  #1 Interdependence on communities While many of us forget at the peak of our professional careers, overwhelming incidents like these remind us of our interdependence on communities ! His much talked about tweet followed by two detailed apologies further complimented with a termination letter clearly

To My Teens - My Veeres!

Teens (girls) are my favorite and why not!  Also, because I cannot go back to mine, I figure out ways to find my teens in yours and you have been candid enough to include me in your clad! How I wish I had the exposure you have in today's time, hence this piece of writing only for you my Veeres.  So, I watched the most hyped movie of this year 'Veere Di Wedding' and being the social media fanatic, I was seriously impressed by the efforts put by girls along with the entire team in bringing out the new story content every week paired with pictures and buzzing them all along!  So just like many of you, I watched the first day first show and blimey!!! I had my neurons fired up, while my fellow audience lived through extreme emotions of love and hatred towards the movie, I went back to the start of the movie where the personality of four Delhi girls ( in their 16's or 18's) is exposed!  L-R Suman Iyenger, Pinnu Goel, Dimple Khanna, Yours Truly

Women and my Girls! Who is your best friend? Pads,Tampons OR Menstrual Cups...

Women! Who is your best friend? Pads,Tampons OR Menstrual Cups... Today on Menstrual Hygiene Day, my take on  Menstrual Routine is more related to comfort, mindset and knowledge! Whatever you use is directly connected to how u began!  Mostly Asian girls (I am referring to city girls here) are exposed to Sanitary Pads when they get their first periods as they are easy to place and change according to the flow of the blood! And it is certainly a great start in the early age, however in my opinion you can easily get prone to rashes, itching and bad odour, also lets not forget your disability to swim, play outdoor games (which involves heavy running or movement). Holding a Sofy Anti Bacterial Pad here!  Hence when I grew up and was almost on my own, I tried using Tampons and in the beginning I felt weird, dirty, and faced discomfort as if something was stuck in my vagina which grows bigger in few hours (depending on your flow) . Moreover as a virgin in that

Let Your Story Do The Talking!

“Every great love starts with a great story...”   said Nicholas Sparks , the author of The Notebook.  So is the love for marketing, if you love your field of marketing it would certainly begin from the art of storytelling. In many manifolds journey is more imperative than destination. The crux of values, hardships, success, failures, moments of truth lie in an experience not in achievement. I respect both destination and achievement, having said that my interest holds in the story of the process to achieve the destination. In my views storytelling is a pro form of communication, a narrative that depicts your brand’s characteristics in a series of events. Consequently its effect is equal on a toddler or an adult. It’s about catching your audience’s divided attention! In short our brain’s desire for stories is insatiable. All it needs is a relatable content. Hence, it is inevitable for brands today to focus on content marketing and present a realistic story w

Do You Celebrate Being You?

For once, I am glad to admit that I am amongst the millions who spend endless hours looking up “How to Lose Weight”, “Cause of Obesity” so on and so forth on the internet. I am the kind of person that likes to try out everything right from the GYM to Cycling to Running to all kinds of Power Yoga and Hot Yoga in a bid to control my increasing weight. But more often than not I end up in losing more of my enthusiasm than my weight in the bargain as it is really a hard process. Image Source: Thinglink.com It dawned to me once during one such browsing sessions that while on one hand India is considered a leading destination for medical tourism, it is the third country worldwide that leads in obesity which is paradoxical. I am not writing this piece to expand on the medical complexities of obesity but rather talk about my own experiences and conversation with someone who is also now an important part of my life. However before I proceed further, let me just say that I do com
